I’m sorry, but I feel well within my rights to have a bit of a bloody rant here. I’m sat watching the local news for Yorkshire and listening to countless people complaining about the cuts that have to be made within the council; it’s down to a ‘bloody Conservative government’ says my mother – hang on a second, let me please tell you what is wrong with that.
Firstly, this would’ve happened next year under a Labour government, it’s just that Cameron felt it better to reduce the deficit now rather than leave it to fester; cutting jobs is a part of that and we just have to accept that we’re in a recession and these things need to be sorted. If it’s one thing I’ve learned about the British people in my short 18 years of life, it’s that they want everything to be improved, everything to be the best but not one of them is prepared to put their hands in their pockets to fund it. Well, I’m sorry but if at the age of 18 I can see that that ain’t possible why on earth can’t the rest of them?
Secondly, if people are so angry and annoyed at having a Conservative government then they shouldn’t have bloody voted for them in the first place, they should have given their votes to another party who they wanted to win, instead of voting tactically or not bothering to at all. We live in a democracy and this is how the system works, if you don’t like it, bugger off somewhere else. Let me tell you though, no other country in the world can offer what we do; free education, free health care, state pensions and benefits, wonderful culture and history and a chance to be part of one of the most diverse populations in the world – I love Britain and I love being British!
Sorry, rant over. Some people just really infuriate me. Oh, and hello by the way, I haven’t posted in a couple of days and that I apologise. I have no excuse so I’m not going to waste minutes of my life pondering on what to tell you.
